Bat
Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. We said goodbye to Bat. He had cancer in his kidneys and lymph nodes. We found out only a couple of weeks ago, but knew something terrible was happening to him. He was so skinny :(. I know it was his time.
He was a part of our family. He came into our lives during Thanksgiving dinner 13 years ago. Aaron and Leah heard a kitten meowing as we were eating dinner and they found him under the hood of her car. He was with us almost every night since then.
Waking up this morning without him was awful. I see him in every corner and pile of laundry. I'm waiting to hear his footsteps walking on the carpet for bedtime snuggles. Aaron and I are wrecks. I know it will get easier but for now we are so sad.
