This morning I was driving to work and the air was cool & crisp and there was a ton of dew on my car. I had a commuter cup full of my favorite Swork coffee, thanks to my lovely neighbor, and it just felt for a moment like I was in a mountain town or something instead of the LBC. I also had a copy of the new CD I made---"The Only Acceptable Country Mix in Existence" (a.k.a. "Country Kitsch", as it's full of Johnny, Patsy & Tammy). Listening to THAT made it seem like a whole different place all together. So I'm singin' along to "Tennessee Stud" and I see a big old Suburban with the license plate: DOGS N I. He wasn't bullshittin' either as there were 3 furry friends in the back. Then to top off my weird mountain-morning scenario, I look at the driver and he's wearing some big hat, like with that wool stuff inside. I waved at the dogs and the big hat-wearing man was off in his own driving world. The light turned green and I drove away as he waited for his red left hand turn arrow to change.

I don't know why that amused me so much, but it did.
