Andrew had an uneventful childhood. A mother, a father, two annoyingly adored little sisters...
The Roberts children were raised knowing both the magic and muggle worlds. They watched the telly just as much as the played Exploding Snap and Wizard's Chess.
Andrew is the oldest of three children and his whims were not catered to. Though the Robert's didn't ache for money, they did not spend frivolously simply because their children desired it.
Andrew learned this on his 10th birthday.
At the age of 9, music struck Andrew's fancy and he begged and pleaded for a guitar for his coming birthday. When he finally reached the mature age of ten, he was disappointed to find that his parents thought it would be best if he did chores around the house to earn the money to by a guitar. He begged and pleaded some more, swept and mopped and raked until, finally, he'd earned enough money to buy the guitar he wanted before his first train ride to Hogwarts.
His sorting was rather uneventful. Andrew didn't much care about which house he was put into and the hat chose Gryffindor.
He's made a few friends through the years - one that likes to hit him and another who shares his love in music. Though he doesn't get along with them all the time, he cares for them a great deal. (Not that he'd admit that under pain of torture.)
After school, his huge plan is to join a band. Granted, it's not the best idea he's ever had but it's certainly the most interesting, in his opinion.
Personality:
In short, Andrew Roberts likes himself. A lot. He's not in love with himself, mind you, he is just very fond of himself. Though many people will find flaws with him, he's the sort of person that thinks his flaws add to his overall perfection.
Andrew often speaks before he thinks. If a girl is suddenly pudgy, he's often the first to point this out. Honestly, he's not trying to be an ass - he just doesn't think about how something like that could hurt the feelings of someone else.
Due to his speak first - think later habits, he doesn't have many close friends. However, he doesn't necessarily classify himself as a loner either. He enjoys the company of others and often times chooses the noise of the common room over the quiet of the library. Even if not involved in the action, he likes being near it.
Andrew is not absolutely in love with school but he does work to make decent marks in the subjects that interest him or benefit him in some way. After all, what's the point of being at Hogwarts if you aren't going to take full advantage of it.
Most of the time, the boy is very energetic. Some people would complain that he needs to sit down or take a moment to breathe. If he's very interested in something, though, their complaints will fall on deaf ears and he'll continue on in high speed.
If Andrew likes/enjoys something, he doesn't exactly know when to quit. If a little is good, more should be better, right?
Deep down (and though he tries to hide it) Andrew is really very chivalrous. Though he's not the most brave among the lions, he's very dedicated and loyal to those he cares about. He's stubborn, big-mouthed and often leaps without looking. Regardless of his conceited personality, he's really a very friendly person. People must remember to take most of what he says with a grain of salt.
Physical Description:
Andrew is very tall (6'3") and very lanky (maybe 180lbs). What he doesn't have in bulk or muscle, he makes up for with his stunning personality. 'Stunning personality' would be his description.
Most of the time, the boy is rather laid back and can be found with a large smile on his face. Though he may appear messy, rest assured that it is the most organized mess you will ever lay eyes upon. Every stain and rip in his clothing is strategically placed. His dark sandy blonde hair looks like he's just rolled out of bed but it take a lot of work to make hair look that amazing...
Out of his features, his light blue eyes stand out more than anything else. He loves his eyes... fancies them as 'bedroom eyes.'
Andrew doesn't fidget all that much. If anything, you'll find him strumming a pencil or tapping a foot to whatever tune is playing in his head.

Do you think your character is capable of successfully employing a Cruiciatus Curse? Why or why not? I do not think that he is. Even if he was angry enough to consider it, I don't think that he could pull enough hate from within himself to successfully employ the curse.

Andrew's eyes grew to new, epic proportions when he realized what was causing the sudden, sick, cold feeling in the pit of his stomach. It was a... bloody hell... what the hell... he... shite...
Now, on a normal day, he wouldn't have been fazed by such a thing. Today, though, he'd been... caught off guard. Not that he made a habit of letting his guard down. Not that that was even the point of the moment.
He knew what he should be doing and rather than actually pulling his wand, he gave the thing a nervous, toothy smile. "Not a normal day in the life of Andrew Roberts," he muttered.
Alignment: Neutral. He doesn't really focus on things such as the war. Though, if I had to pick a side, he'd lean more toward the good.
