This is just a reminder. My journal is mostly Friends Only, so Friends, please be logged in so you have access to everything. If you are NOT currently on my Friends list and would like to be, just respond to this and I'll likely add you, if you seem like a decent person and if we seem to have some common interests.
I am always looking for additional friends, so please feel free to comment.

My goal for this is to use my LJ for exactly what it is, a journal. It will give me a place to write about a lot of diverse things. While I hope others may find it interesting, useful, and perhaps even entertaining at times, it is primarily for me. Does that sound self-centered, or what? LOL
I truly solicit comments and questions. I'd love to discuss various viewpoints with friends. I'd love to establish some virtual friendships and learn from these friends, perhaps while they learn from me.
Some of the things I anticipate I will write about include:
- Spiritual thoughts: I am a Christian although non-denominational, non-judgmental (so as to make it clear where I'm coming from on this). I don't claim to have all the answers to the mysteries of life. I continue to seek. I truly care about people and try to serve their needs as I see opportunity.
- Real life experiences in the occupational safety & health and risk management field from working with clients over my career as a consultant.
- Music observations: New CDs, songs that have touched me, groups, great lyrics, great guitar riffs, perhaps I'll even share some of my own writing.
- I have taken my long-running radio show "Rockin' Saturday Night" on hiatus. It ran each Saturday night on WKMS-FM 91.3, the 100,000 watt NPR affiliated station of Murray State University. The show covered the first 30 years of rock. It was web streamed at http://www.wkms.org/
- Travel: I've traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada for business and pleasure. I've hiked in numerous National Parks. I've been to dozens of amusement parks. I often post pics of my trips.
- Anything else that seems to get my attention at a particular point in time.
- I'll probably post a number of photos from our home and our travel. This would include photos from our woods, our music room, cat pictures (of Miss Kitty), in addition to vacation photos. I like photography and have several digital cameras.
Please read my profile for more information. I am very open and don't shy away from tough questions my friends may ask. I suspect I'll write a number of introspective entries that are mainly for me, although others are always free to read and comment.
