sitting in the tunnels undereneath the magic kingdom has in the computer lab somehow makes me want to update.

last night i had to work until 130 cuz wonderful disney likes to have parties that last until midnight. so i am exhausted.

and i know the following story shouldnt really get to me, but it did, it really did.

we do a thing called a magical moment. in which we do somthing extra special for a guest. such as giving away a free sundae to someone who looks sad or a little girl in a princess dress.  so recently i gave an ice cream to a little boy and the story was that mickey wanted me to give this to a very special person and who ever i give it too must have the best day....somthing along those lines. so the boy was happy and the parents looked at me dumbfounded.  later the father comes back to auntie gravity's(the ice cream parlor in tomorrowland) and he tells me that since they told their son that they were going to disney world. he was saying that mickey would give him ice cream......

the story brought me close to tears.   it was just so cool that that happened.

here is another story that got to me but not so happy.

a women comes into gravity's in a wheelchair.  with her two sons both about the ages of 2 and 4.  they order there ice cream and after getting there rootbeer floats the mother told her son to lick the ice cream but instead put some on the boy's nose.  the women was in such good spirtis for being in a wheel chair and seeing at the neck of her shirt many bandages.   such a powerful and funloving woman like that reminded me of someone who was very close to me.  and again i was brought close to tears but for a different reason.  now i dont wish that these boys go through the same thing that me and my brother did. but the similarites shocked me.

most of the time i see story's along the first one, i mean who wants to be sad at the most happiest place on earth?  i truely enjoy my job because of the first story and many stories like that  and yes i kno i started this entry sounding like i hated the place but i really dont.  its the best and most rewarding place to work.  just to see a child smile over her new princess dress or his pirate costume. or an adult reliving their childhood.

thats what i love about disney.
