GALE: Are you giving me your room key?
This is just one of many memorable moments during the con that I fondly remember and makes me smile every time.
First of all, this is the compensation to all ticket holders when the con was reduced to just a one day event. An autograph with each cast member. Since I've never really attended a con before I expected that we would just be given a picture of the group with all their signatures when we picked up our registration folder since the schedule was so packed and left most sessions with only 20 minutes. So this one on one session actually came as a nice surprise which happened right after the opening ceremony.
When it was the Bablyon ticket holders turn to go (we were at the last row), we were all escorted to another room where each cast had their own table and seated with their PAs (Ryan, Robert, Peter, Michelle, Scott, Gale & Randy from left to right was their order, I think). We were instructed to line up with who ever has the shortest line (I actually thought that would have been Ryan but I was completely wrong. I ended up getting his autograph last :)).
Let's see my first autograph was with Peter and I got a chance to show him a pic of The Fosters billboard ad that we passed by while driving around in LA. After that, I saw that Randy's line was pretty short so I went ahead and waited for my turn. I said my hello and said it was nice to see you again. I gave him what I wanted him to sign which was his picture from Red - my icon - (a favorite of mine) and as he was about to sign it, he actually remembered my name and said it while signing at the same time which truly made my day. After that I thanked him with a goofy smile on my face and walked away.
I then moved on to Gale's line and waited a few minutes since there was a couple in front of me with about 5 things for him to sign. While in line, I actually finally met wrstlgirl and her friend (we talked briefly while killing time and waiting for our turn). Soon I was in front and after I gave my ticket to Gale's PA I said hello and shook the hand of God, I mean Brian Kinney Gale Harold again :). I definitely made sure that I didn't squeeze his soft hands too much since it was the one where he injured the tendon of his finger. After that I asked if I could have him sign my picture (posted above) which is about the size of a credit card and as I handed it to him, that's when he asked "Are you giving me your room key?" in complete seriousness - LOL. Of course I didn't know how to take that so I just stood there shocked (and a bit embarrassed too) and blushed but finally answered him back with a "No but I can give it to you, if you'd like" while smiling and giggled/laugh like a silly school girl (sorry but when he looks at you it's so hard not to feel this way - young & crushing - made my heart pitter patter). His PA was looking at me funny and Gale just went back to signing my pic. Since I also had another pic for a friend to sign, I gave that to Gale and afterwards thanked him for his time and for being there then moved on to Scott, Michelle, Robert and finally Ryan who I chatted with about running, training and nutrition since he's into that and his upcoming Hawaii trail run. He was so very friendly and I have to agree with the other fangurls, very good looking in person with mesmerizing blue eyes. He was such a sweetie and had everyone fangirling after him all day & night. He was actually a nice addition to the cast and everyone made him feel welcome and included.
