Er Hem.

Lists are good. Lists are therapeutic. For some reason, the normally disorganised me has a penchant for lists. They make me seem sane somehow. And I get to fill pages of pretty diaries with hi-fidelity style catalogues of things I love, things I hate, things I find pretty, what smells make me feel like I'm in heaven, what goes well with parmesan cheese (everything~), the types of tea I like (Kashmiri! doodwaali! bubble tea! earl grey! Nagori millk (ok, fine that's milk but it's almost tea and I wub it)!)... I suppose I get a little carried away sometimes. Either way, my brains a mess (no, don't say as usual, Don't. DON'T!) and I need to make a list to get my mind a bit more settled. Soooo, we has list of what I want to watch and am watching, as well as stuff I'm reading and just finished reading.

  • (Sorry, took me a while to find the list button... oh wait, you're reading this, you wouldn't know how long it took... Huzzah~) Rich Man, Poor Woman: And I hear you say, "Pfffttt, as if she needed to tell me that." And truth be told, I don't (I don't actually need to tell anyone any of this) but since I'm watching it, it goes on the list. Plus, this week we get a special episode, jwyeah~~ (Yes, I'm channeling my inner Joonie).
  • Omoni Naitemasu: What can I say... I read really positive reviews plus it has me baobei Nakamaru in it, so why the hell not. Watched the first episode, really low-key funny, downloaded the second episode and will watch soon~ It sort of reminds me of a mix of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (part of the premise is that the leading lady is so gorgeous that everyone straight guy (and probly non-straight chick) falls in love with her as soon as they see her and harass her enough to be unable to hold a job or be in public generally) and the jmovie Rinco's Restaurant (same wacky but completely sane style of storytelling)
  • Ryusei No Kizuna: I actually noticed this show a while back when it was airing (or rather, being subbed) or so, but the summary completely put me off (It talks about 3 siblings bent on avenging the death of their parents, and I've gotten real fed-up of those storylines... and things that make me cry, in general). But now, 4 years later (oh god I didn't realise it had been that long until I typed that), people have watched the show, and they say that it's funny (although it has its poignant moments) but poignant moments I can deal with, thus this is our third entry on the list (and the third jdrama to boot). Watching jdramas makes me so happy, senselessly so~
  • Tatta Hitotsu No Koi: I want fluff, and I want my KAT-TUN babies, so why the hell not. Ayase Haruka is just the amazing frosting you want to eat out with a spoon on this gorgesrumpilicious icecream cake.
  • 8uppers: I've downloaded the movie, and hopefully I'll get to watch it soon (it's competing against me catching up on Faith, and since Faith is a series... you see the problem, ne?). The reviews have generally been along the lines of "SuUuuGggeEee" and it has le Kanjani8 (Subaru~'s eyes have a special place in my heart) and it's about KANJANI8 BEING MOMMIES SO YES I'M FREAKING EXCITEEEEE!
  • KAT-TUN'S REAL FACE CONCERT~~ 'Nuff said.
  • Samurai Sentai Shikenger!!!: APPARE!~
  • I completely realise that the list thus far has been comprised mainly of Japanese stuff. There is a primitive (childish? undeveloped?) part of me that adores this because Jdoramas are the first asian things I started watching (besides wuxia/epic mythology/tvb stuff, which doesn't count, because I have been watching that since I was a wee bairn, thanks to my adorable grandparents.. I would lie on Nanoo (Mama's daddy's) tummy and watch those.. Do you know that wuxia etc. is wildly popular in India and dubbed into Hindi (as is anime and some jdoramas and white shows) and airs at breakfast (10/11 am) and teatimes (5/6 pm) and my Nanoo used to wake me up in the mornings so I could lie on him and watch stuff like Legend of the Condor Heroes (Barbara Yeung version) and Zu Mountain Saga (lookie) I didn't even need subs~).
  • Anyway, back on topic, we get to the first korean drama on this list, the drama that starts the week: Faith. I loved the first two episodes, and am trying to play catch up, being midway through the third episode. If only life went easier on me. Not going to talk a lot more about this cos my sunbaes are covering it extremely well~
  • Second kdrama: Arang. Surprisingly, I caught up to this before I caught up with Faith, but only because my little sister is watching it as well and I was scared she would tell me everything and hence ruin me (I have recently started to be a bit finicky about spoilers, even though I normally love them). Listed second only because it airs on Wednesday and Thursday as opposed to Faith's Monday and Tuesday. Again, coverage is so spectacular that I ain't botherin with more words.
  • Hedgehog and Panda: So. I am watching this show. And I have to say, it's not bad at all. It helps that I had soft spots for all three leads from the start. And while the show is no brainteaser, it does well in the frothy fluff department. It helps that there is eyecandy all around (the leads! the pastries!) and omg have you heard Choi Jin Hyuk's voice? It seems to have progressively deepened since Nonstop 6 and I Need Romance to the point that it's now good enough to sell as the top name product in his own bakery, in the melted dark chocolates and honey section.
  • Answer Me 1997: I have sorely neglected this one, but I figure that since this is the least time consuming of all, it'll be the perfect pick me up while I'm going to college and battling heavy homeworkloads. I love whatever it has shown me thus far (and Hoya, I adore you) and am really sorry that I'm not staying up to date with it.
  • My Princess: Over, loved most of it, pure fluff and happiness, and really the best place for Song Seung Hoon and Kim Tae Hee. Boo to Doc Jin (even though peculiarly enough, I love most of the cast for that show).
  • The closer for the drama part of this list, and one of the only Taiwanese shows currently on list, Hi My Sweetheart. I know I'm extremely late to the party, but Show Luo as a coconut-head never really appealed to me when I was younger (call me shallow, but I have been allergic to that hairstyle after seeing my brother have it for around 11 years...). Anyway, I really like it so far, although I admit to skipping bits here and there. Still not reached the part where Show becomes hot though.
  • Miss Rose: Again, woefully behind and unable to participate over at Koala unnie's. But I've loved Megan Lai ever since she was Barbie Xu's best friend in MARS, and Roy Qiu since Office Girls, so yeah, no brainer for watch list.
  • Office Girls: Watching parts that I initially skipped; progress= snail-like.
  • Black And White: This sucker is an on-off thing for whenever I want a funny procedural. Forever on the watch list, like MARS and Devil Beside You and Why Why Love and It Started With A Kiss and They Kiss Again.
  • Legend Of The Condor Heroes: Stuck on episode 24. This is what happens when you've read the book and know that the only people you care about go through shittonnes of grief before getting together at the very end.
  • The Holy Pearl: Stuck on episode 17. Again, what happens when you know the ending ain't gonna be like what you want.
  • Seven Of The Sky: Watched watched watched ALLLLL of it, used it as substitute for sad moments in LOTCH.
  • Hiiro No Kakera is on the anime watch list, although God knows when I'll get to that... Still, downloaded the first episode...
Games: Downloaded Hiiro No Kakera, A Starry Sky In Spring and 2 versions of Ace Attorney~

Books: I went to the library, and clearly my self-control is shot, because I picked up 4 books, amongst them was the doorstopper A Suitable Boy by Vikram SethMortal Coils by Eric NylundWondrous Strange (wonderful name, gorgeous cover, pretty story, want to read the sequel) by Lesley Livingstone, and Guinivere's Gift by Nancy McKenzie. I'll do a proper post on them later maybe, because A Suitable Boy definitely deserves it, and the others warrant a mention too.
