we made a deal in the car
so i'm more or less "all settled in" after having been here a couple weeks, and now i finally have a computer, thanks to some much welcome chrismess fundage from the family. so far, the computer seems pretty good. a nice flat panel monitor, which still leaves me with plenty of room on my not-so-roomy desk. i still couldn't say that this apartment totally feels like home, but i guess it just takes some time to get used to. it's kind of like when you buy a new pair of shoes. you know that they're your shoes, but at first, they tend to feel a little awkward, and a little like you're borrowing someone elses shoes. well, i know it's been a while since i've written things, but there isn't a whole lot to say. working a lot, things finally picked up about a week ago. they seem to be continuing to be pretty steady *knock on wood*, so perhaps things will be ok and the store will make it in the end after all. chrismess with the family, opening presents in the morning, eating all afternoon. the "normal" i suppose. time for some sleep now. it's been a long week since i've been able to sleep in, so tomorrow is catch up day. saturday morning cartoons just aren't enough to drag me out of bed any more.
