i say...'deliver me from swedish furniture'
woke up early, which is no good, i need my rest, since i've been sick with this damned cough for like a week now. well, so today was my big trip to Ikea, the swedish furniture juggernaut in Emeryville. quite an interesting place, i must say. damned thing is as big as a small airplane hangar. furniture as far as the eye can see. well, it seems that i must have popular tastes or something, since the nightstand and set of drawers i wanted were both out of stock. so i went with an alternative color on the drawers, and no nightstand. but i did pick up a couple of lamps and a few other small assorted goods... wine glass, silverware, etc. came home, went to office max and picked up a decent bookcase that was quite on sale. also found a computer desk there i think i am going to go back and purchase. just had to do some calculations and be sure there would be room for it. i still need to find a bed too. i know which one i want, i just need to ask gilbert if he can help me transport it, since he has a truck, and i have a CRX. all this money already spent, and i still have a bunch more to go, ugh. between that and chrismess coming up, looks like i'll be starting the new year without much spending cash. oh well, that's life for ya, right? besides, money can't buy happiness... it can only rent it...
