for whom the bell tolls...

well, looks like life is after me again. things have been a bit slow at the store lately, so apparently the boss is looking to cut hours and fire half the crew. well, when you're crew is only 4 people, cutting half the crew really leaves you with nothing. besides the fact that he doesn't work when he's there, he doesn't stay there even 6 hours most of the time, let alone 8. so, that basically makes it like having 2.5 people working instead of 4.5. yes, i only count my boss as half a worker. perhaps if he did more. perhaps if he had a little more business sense and had used his loan money for advertising for the store instead of his big wedding reception, which COULD have waited, since it was already 3 months after his wedding as it was. but no, he didn't. so yea, if it leave me, him, and the manager, that basically means if anyone gets sick, wants time off, etc, we're pretty much just fucked. sounds like a great idea, right? oh, and our notice to renew our lease has come, and my roommate hasn't said anything, which more or less leads me to believe she's not gonna want to renew it, which will pretty much leave me without a place to stay in a couple of months. yea. when it rains, indeed it pours. anyone out there know of anyone who's hiring? maybe we can convince him to at least keep DC on for the weekends and for "on call" to cover other various times. let's face it, 3 people is just below the bare minimum needed to keep the store open, so if something happens to one of us, we'd be pretty fucked, so it's probably a good idea to have someone else there, just in case. yea, but what do we know? we only come up with ideas that make the store money and make the store look nice. who wants that, right? oh, and i almost forgot, i told scattered fall i'd go on tour with them this summer. and DC was all happy to cover my shifts. well, if he's not a regular employee there anymore, i don't know how keen he'll be on doing that. yea, i just need a new job.
