Friday night: RiverSplash some bands played that I don't know and I didn't think they were very good. Frat boy kind of bands or something. Hardly any wine buyers, pretty boring night really.
Saturday: Lyle Lovett huge crowd lots of wine drinkers pretty busy. Saw a few people I knew but didn't really get a chance to talk to anyone. Have lots of tiny cuts all over my hands and fingers from opening wine bottles and wine coolers. After Riversplash made a beeline to Fred's to catch Rocket Park. Totally overwhelmed when I walked in by the huge ass crowd. What the hell? I mean it's good but I wasn't expecting it. Had to wade myself through the people to get to my friends and both my parents were there so that was interesting. Several comments were made about my mom's dancing. It was funny as hell. (She's kind of a lightweight and they put liquor in their drinks there!) I thought the first band was pretty lame even though I guess they have a lot of hype and I figure they brought in most of the crowd. Rocket Park rocked the house though and it was so great to have so many of my friends there! Although I suppose a little overwhelming too because I wanted to hang and talk to everyone and due to the crowd and the bands I didn't really get to talk to anyone. I think everyone had a swell time though. The new guitarist rocks and we're gonna miss Dave the bass player a lot. I'm sure we'll catch a few Earl shows though.
Yesterday
rocketparkboy and I chilled out and watched a few flicks The Powerpuff girls movie and this cute movie called the Assasination Bureau Limited with Diana Rigg, Oliver Reed, and Telly Savalas. We then recieved a call from Brian's friend Kevin asking us if we were up to going to karaoke and ended up in the bar we hate of all time called Time Out. I had probably six or seven amaretto sours because they had a special and didn't even end up getting a buzz but instead horrible heartburn later. Brian had a pretty lousy time. In the future I think we'll stick to the bars that we like. It's a good plan.
Tonight we had a lovely yummy dinner at The majestic best greek salads ever! We shared a salad and an entree and managed to have room for some pie for dessert. Then when we got back my friend Mollie (
knightpainter ) came over and sketched me while I did some craft type stuff. I mostly just worked on my little scrapbook which I will take some pictures of to post here sometime eventually. It's very cheesy but I love it.
Oh yeah and last week I got a job at Gordman's for 6.75 an hour as a cashier but it doesn't start until Oct I think so I need to keep looking because I need something right now. My car insurance is over due and so is my car payment and they are not happy with me so I have to figure out something soon.
