So it's almost the end of 5 at school and I have damn near nothing to show for it.
Contemporary Math: 1 test (back on Monday) which I'm pretty sure I failed. Contemporary Math is by far the most worthless class I have ever had. Even worse than Ceramics. The chapters don't build each other or even relate in any way, unless you count the numbers (no pun intended). And the teacher looks like Officer Weigel on Reno 911! And why the fuck would an Art teacher need to know this shit? I can add, subtract, multiply, and divide. That's all I need in the Math department as far as I'm concerned.
Intro to Computer Graphic Design: The one class I actually have something accomplished in and I hate the class. Digital Art (and Macs) just isn't my thing. Granted, I have learned some useful things, but I still don't like it.
Intermediate Sculpture: I am so far behind everyone else in this "class." We are building life-size figural sculptures using a wire frame, then paper mache over it. Pretty much a fuckin' High School assignment, yet somehow I'm behind everyone else. I can't make a figure I'm happy with. I keep ripping the fucker apart.
Intermediate Painting: Bad idea to take this as an independent study. I do go to class during a watercolor class, but I'm only like half way done with two paintings. I get an idea I like, then I either get bored with it once I start it or it starts turning out worse than I imagined and I give up.
And after this semester, I have *ahem* only 21 more classes before I have my BFA and teacher's certification.
I'm a Junior with nearly 3 years left...*sigh*
