The Velvet Teen was tonight and the rocked my socks right off... and then when I came home all the socks in my sock-drawer had exploded... that's how hard they rocked. That man can fucking sing, and he had a Kate Bush sticker on his Keyboard and so he gets major Muffy-Points because not enough people like KB. If you ever get a chance to see them, do it. I also reccomend downloading the song "Count Backwards".
After they played I got into an argument with Josh (now in the Velvet Teen, formerly of the Wunder Years) and Gaz about the Strokes and I said that their album was pretty toe tappin, but they're Rock and Roll but they don't Rock, they just do coke and look sad. Liz intergected that they never go anywhere, like you really expect a climax in their songs but it never comes and then I closed the argument by simply saying that they were "okay" but there's way too many bands out there that are "amazing" and I don't have time for ones that are just "okay". When I'm done listening to incredible bands then maybe I'll buy a Strokes album. They agreed and we went and sat in a big giant chair.
