Phew! It's so good to be feeling better again. Good enough to post. You guys know how I was going to SMASH? Well in the end I dropped out - and then, as some kind of karmic payback, immediately got the flu. The Flu flu, not just "I have a really bad cold and will call it the flu", - flu. I DIED HORRIBLY. So poor Mamath, who did make it down to stay ( Read more... )

Yeah, I watched the first episode of T+B (the pilot, I guess) and I was like...this is....amazing?? I looked like it was gonna be all about rival teams and sponsorships and commercialism and FUN TIMES but then the second episode happened and it sort of headed more in the direction of standard anime fare. Not necessarily bad just...not living up to that initial potential, imo. Still some hella sweet character designs though! I have been mighty tempted by some of the action figures on several occasions but fortunately I haven't had that hard a time resisting... My Zoids Revoltechs fill the "sweet robot action figures" criteria for the time being!

Haha, don't worry about writing notes and things. :D It's not a big deal and I happen to live pretty close to like...three post offices now so it's triple not a big deal for me. I end up passing a PO or post box pretty much any time I leave the house. :D;;

Watercolours are fun but tricky! But gorgeous! Good luck! :D I can get okay results from them but I never learned to use them as they are ~meant to be used~, you know? I tend to treat them like acrylic paints. Bad bad bad, me. ;_;

OH man, I'll save all the raving and arm-flailing for later, but the figures? You can actually find them for pretty cheap! I'm going to nab sky high from a Japanese seller for about $45 shipped. That's...really, really good prices, man. Usually any kind of action figure is like, $60 average. Did I mention I like Sky High? I like him. His outfit is nice retro-futuristic and he is a great Big Ham. Awesome. Also if I get "the boys" their bikes are being released for them later in the year....B) I wish you could raise their masks, though.

Well I'm just glad you had a good time! Maybe I'll get to drive you around one of these days, too.

"I tend to treat them like acrylic paints" yea this is why I wanted to take class in the first place...? The idea being that someone could teach me the technical points of using them. Unfortunately, the only pointers we really got were gimmicky kind of techniques like using rice and glad-wrap to create certain patterns. There were a few bits about making colours run together and so fourth, but all-in-all...bleh. Maybe I'll find someone local, IDK.
