I did a few more. I'm stressed out with too much to do. Time for a fanfic break. xD
23. Fight
Steelix dug underground to avoid a rather powerful Fire Blast attack. It's dig attack had a great effect on the Houndoom, but it wasn't out yet. Unfortunately Houndoom wasn't the only opponent the steel rock snake faced. There were Mightyena, Ninetales, Numel, Camerupt, and Numel in addition to it's most powerful foe.
Steelix glanced behind it to see it's master unconscious on the ground. They had been sent by Giovanni to stop the invasion of Kanto by the newly revived Team Magma, but the Team Rocket leader had severely underestimated the number of people Team Magma had actually recruited in addition to it's original members. An attack that had missed the pokemon had hit his master instead, knocking him out. It was all Steelix could do to protect him, for if Steelix gave up then the Magma members would surely have their dogs slaughter the lone Rocket.
The pokemon delivered a massive Iron Tail attack, knocking five of the beasts back into their trainers.
It would fight for Bashou until the end.
24. Learning
" Butch."
" That's what I said."
" No, you said Botch. Say it with me now. Butch."
" Butch."
" Butch."
" This is ridiculous." Cassidy rolled her eyes. " You don't have to teach me your name, I already know it."
" Apparently not!!" Butch snapped. " Botch, Biff, Bruno...Cassidy, you're my partner now, and if we're going to work together, you gotta get my name right!!"
" Listen, Braxton, I don't have time for this. I've got more important things to do. I know we're partners and all, but this is just a foolish waste of time."
Butch let out a cry of exasperation and fell to his knees. Why...WHY was his simple name so hard for them to remember?!
25. Copy
Dr. Fuji smiled to himself as he peered into the glass tube before him. Mewtwo was coming along nicely...but not as nicely as Aitwo.
The doctor filled with pride as he looked at the clone of his daughter. She was a perfect imitation...no...she was so good, she WAS Ai. This clone would surely survive the tests, he told himself. They had been so successful this time, nothing could go wrong.
Ai would come to life, and Fuji's life would be complete once again. His wife would take them both back. Giovanni would pay him a handsome amount for creating Mewtwo, and they would live in luxury for the rest of their days.
" If it doesn't work this time...then that's it." he muttered to himself. A parent should never have to bury their child. Fuji's wife had left him because he had dedicated all of his time to bringing back Ai, but she just didn't understand.
Without Ai, Fuji knew, his life just wasn't worth living.
