Yeah, it's funny how pathetic Rocket is in the game but how awesome they are everywhere else.

It's odd, people talk about how bad the dub is but they never cite *examples* other than they changed the ending to one episode and that people apparently don't like DeDeDe's voice (which I think is a stone riot myself).

I don't remember Sword or Blade, I must not have seen enough.

Galaxia *does* sound like a woman's name, especially since that was the name of the ultimate villian in Sailor Moon, but yeah (now then, I have to ask since this is the same company that gave us FemmeBashou--was it just the voice or was he *made* a woman?)

Escargoon wasn't a fanboy in the dub? Because I thought they *added* stuff given how over the top I thought he was.

Eek, American Cockney is the worst. Given how popular it is in cartoons (both dub and original works), you'd think it'd be in higher demand to find people who can do a real one. That and Australian--it doesn't seem that ANYONE outside of Australia can do an accent that isn't a ripoff of the Crocodile Hunter.

Given that a sword has no sex, it could really go either way, methinks, what kind of voice it would have.

Calmer? Maybe because I know who the voice was based on (Paul Lynde), but I didn't get that he was calm at all (calmER possibly, but still not what I'd call calm). And I always got that he was a total fanboy.

I remember back before Digimon Data Squad was dubbed, the director got on one of the big message boards and asked "So! If we *were*, hypothetically speaking, to presumably someday dub this, who would you--speaking in hypotheticals, mind you--want to hear in the roles?" and pretty much everyone said they wanted to hear Mari Devon as Kudamon. Kudamon is male, and while Devon's voice is low, it couldn't exactly pass. However, people thought she would do such a GREAT job as the character that it didn't matter.

However they wound up casting a guy. It was probably the biggest deviation from the fan cast. And the reactions were hilarious. It was basically like "Well...that's ok...I guess. I mean, he's good and all...but yeah."
