Alright so after a fairly unnecessary trip home i'm now considering a few new options.

1. (the current course) Go through college in the ROTC program. Graduate with a Political Science degree and a commission in the US army.

2. Drop out after this semester and go active duty.

3. Drop out of ROTC and finish my degree. Go active duty as enlisted after i get out.

4 (Unlikely but a favorite option of some) Finish college, drop out of ROTC and not go active duty when i get out.

These are the only options right now, 4 is incredibly unlikely (00.0001% chance). Being out of the army is not on there because even if i wanted to i couldn't, i'm obligated for 6 years on the ready reserve and 2 on the Inactive ready reserve.

Honestly right now at college i feel like i'm in limbo. On one hand i don't really want to be an officer anymore because i don't really want to lead right off the bat. I just wanna be a soldier, special forces maybe if i get fit enough but i'm being realistic about it, and that probably won't happen. So i wouldn't be tore up if went decision number 2 and finished up college at a later date.

Meh...i'm going to Iraq regardless of the decision i make.
