LWP #6: Jason's Baaaack!!!
And he's bringing Sammy Winchester with him. Yihee! (for me haha)
Jared Padalecki will play a young detective who investigates the deaths in that lake where Jason drowned (what was it called again?) and became, well, the Jason that he is now. His character's name is gonna be Clay...something. Lol. I think Jared said during Comic Con that he's gonna face Jason one on one some time in the movie. There are polls in other sites asking who you think would win in a face off: Sam Winchester (the character) or Jason?
Duh. Jason, hands down. I love Sammy to death but unless he gets possessed by Lilith or something, he's got no chance whatsoever. Jason is kinda superhuman. I don't know why but he just won't die.
Dean Winchester vs. Jason... now that's another story.
They said that this movie isn't exactly a remake of the original Friday the 13th movie. It's more like a condensed version of the first three films. I'm not sure if I've seen the first Friday the 13th movie (bigyan niyo nalang ako ng DVD!!!) but I know I've seen Jason X and Freddy vs jason (which is cool when you think about it but the movie itself was...meh). Remakes usually never even get to the half-mark of an original's awesomeness, but hopefully this one won't disappoint that much.
Click to viewAnother question on people's minds: Will Jared still be alive by the time credits roll up? He died in Cry Wolf. He died right away in House of Wax. And if he really is going to face Jason, man, chances of him surviving that are slim.
Still, they have a cool release date! And right before Valentines' Day! Perfect for those of us who're already feeling slasher-y during that time of the year. :)
