(no subject)
Somehow I have the feeling that I'm gonna become a LJ whore again....*sigh* oh well.
So my recent epiphany about myself is that I'm pretty good at most things I try, but I don't have any particular one thing that I'm extraordinary at.
Example: I teach myself mellophone and within one marching season I have the 2nd best range of all the mellos except for Dan (because he's actually a trumpet and mello is a 5th lower than trumpet...so yeah)
I just picked up bass clarinet about a week and a half or 2 weeks ago...and I'm already getting pretty good at college grade concert band music.
But, take the flute that I've been playing for 5 years and I'm kind of mediocre compared to the rest of the flutes at the college of music.
While this is kind of cool because I excel in most things, it would be cool to be awesome at one thing. Or to phrase that better...I need to find that one thing that I'm really good at.
My current guess: Being able to learn things really quickly.
