Rocker, there's a piece of advice that my dad has given me that when I manage to remember and utilize it, has helped immensely.

Don't sweat the small stuff...and everything's small stuff. In other words, focus on what you CAN control, and don't worry about those things beyond your ability to control. You say you're having a difficult time at work, focus upon improving your performance, and even if it takes you a while to get your speed up, make sure that the quality of your work remains good or perhaps gets better. Also, you can do as you've suggested and look for a new job, just keep in mind that you'll eventually run into the same kind of problem you're having now, so look for ways to deal with the problem even if there's no way to please the witch-hunter.

As for personal recommendations on how to handle the stress? Get a bike, go running, do some kind of physical exercise for at least thirty minutes to an hour a day. You'll be surprised at how good you feel once you get done, especially if you stick with it. Even just walking around the block a few times will suffice, and usually helps with low moods.
