The NB Rebelles are up to tons of stuff.
I guess we're using our web page as a blog now, but have a side bar that links to our "details" (which are hosted on google pages). I think this is pretty fair, as it is a blogspot page, but I just want it to stay tidy looking.
I had a prelim meeting today with another member and she expressed two great ideas:
-that we should be consistent, even when switching between blogspot and google pages (and if we can't do that with formats, to do it with colour schemes).
-that we should create an option so that the author of each blog post can be identified, like on feministing.
I think I've got both figured out, but feel uncomfortable altering the blogspot page to the google page colour scheme (that we chose today) without consulting the whole group.
If you wanna look, you can check it out
here.
Also, we got a local artist to create a logo for us, and she made two. Check them out!
I think they are completely excellent, really.
Also, we've organized
an action for tomorrow (the real labour day), the gumbooters are soon going to Windsor to preform at a feminist conference, and to fundraise for this we're doing a t-shirt sale fundraiser (
link!)
Basically we went to Frency's last week and bought a ton of shirts and then screen printed our logos/the feminist fist on them and are selling them for $20 at the market on Saturdays. Also - we're going to set it up so that they can be mail ordered. Just sayin.
Really,
check out the link.
Anyway, neat, eh?
