Spring break is over. It was far from a break. They should call it Spring Busy. I drank a lot but was rarely intoxicated. It's odd. I can drink all I want now and I don't. A year ago I would be drunk out of mind at least a couple of times a month. Literally drunk out of my mind. I could not recall a thing. I would only remember things in spurts and flashes if at all. It's been a while. I don't know why, but I miss it. I see it as if you don't lose all control of yourself and let go every-so-often you go crazy permanently. No inhibitions. It's a good thing in moderation.
I'm finally getting my new guitar modified and set up. It's in the shop. I brought it in today. I bought the guitar based solely on looks and the quality of the body. The sound was shit though. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. So I'm working the sound a lot because they're humbuckers originally, the pickups that is, but I love the sound of single coils, so I'm trying to see if I can install two taps to convert the humbuckers to single coil and vice versa. And I don't think anyone will understand what I'm talking about but it means a lot to me and so I say it anyways despite the blank stares.
My roomate Dan and I came up with a theory. Girls are like guitars. That's our theory. From the way we treat them to what we look for in them. We look for the same things in guitars as we do girls. Example, first step in selecting a guitar is based on looks. Then we try the guitar out and see if we like the sound. The sound is the personality. And if you look good and sound good then we'll invest in you. Or say we stumble across a guitar that doesn't look too great but sounds amazing. We may choose to invest into that guitar just because of the amazing sound. Or say that there's a guitar you've had around for years but isn't all that great but over time have grown accustomed to it's sound and feel that you love it despite it's faults. Or even how Dan will get a guitar one day and toss it the next day for a new one, just like his girlfriends haha. Or how I like to make out with other guitars in front of my guitar. I'm just being silly now but you get the point.
On Sunday night I woke up to a girl beside me and she's a very sweet and lovely girl. I thank her for the sleep because I have not slept well in quite some time. Thank you. Good night.
