Allow me to recap the past few days, if you will.
On Sunday, my sister and I decided to go paddle boating on our lake,
with the lovely new paddle boat that my dad bought. Little known
fact...paddle boats require a great deal of assembly, and in hot, humid
weather, it's really fun, let me tell you.
Monday morning...I wake up, and I don't feel too well. My joints hurt,
and just overall... not so good-ness. I found what I thought to be a
mosquito bite on my leg and decided that was the culprit, because
that's happened to me before. I went to an orthopedist who thankfully
said I don't need surgery on my foot (completely unrelated by the way).
And then my day took a turn for the worse. By the time I got home, I
had really bad chills and by the time my mom got home a few hours
later, I was really feeling like crap. But I went grocery shopping with
my mom anyway, because I needed food for camp. Once we were in the
store, I got horrible chills again and sat in a little cafe area the
entire time. Fast forward to home and me sleeping all afternoon, with a
really high fever, not really eating dinner, then sleeping the rest of
the night.
and that brings us to today: I woke up to find my "mosquito" bite had
blossomed into the most disgusting thing I have ever seen with horrible
pain in my entire leg. After a day of pain and popping numerous
steroids and antibiotics, and my dad's wonderful internet research...it
has been concluded- I was bitten by a spider.
So now I get to go to my first day of orientation tomorrow and say, oh
hey by the way, I can't really do anything because I was bitten by a
spider and the bite has decided to consume my leg. yum.
If you read all through my ailments, then boy, you sure do love me a lot.
