1) spend time together (not in a gay way) bonding outside of the 'practice' context.
2) do not expect to write the perfect song every single time.
3) be willing to focus and work hard in and outside of practice. a good work ethic is a defining mark of a 'successful' band.
4) come into the practice situation with ideas. be willing to have these expanded upon, changed, or in some circumstances, even rejected.
5) be open to the varied musical tastes of the different members of the band and, conversely, do not expect everybody in the band to want to sound like your favorite band of the week.
6) don’t be a drunk, pothead, or a dope fiend. please?
