i love t.rex. i see the influence...

elton john says leon russell inspired him in his early years.. they eventually did an album together, and leon wrote a song for elton called a song for you. russell is a maniac showman!

russell is apparently the only musician to write a tribute to another rock musician..

Shortly after his first suicide attempt in 1970, Billy Joel was attempting to escape a bad contract by playing small bars in the LA vicinity for about 6 months. He was inspired to write Piano Man about the pitiful regulars of the Exectuive Lounge in LA and Corky's in Van Nuys (featured in the video).

I do not want to be disrespectful, but Billy Joel's music to me is a plagiate of highest quality, even when listening his hits or the most famous songs I can tell which authors he plagiarised, but for some reason it's ok, the same as for similar singers like KISS, Lenny Kravitz, Barbara Streizand, and so on, as soon as they stop performing they will be forgotten, due to the quality of their music.

This people are famous artificially, not because of their talents,
