concert review
So last night I went to Champaign and saw the Foo Fighters, Weezer, and Kaiser Chiefs. I must say it was an AWESOME show!!!
Kaiser Chiefs - I had bought their CD for like $6 the day after I bought my tickets and fell in LOVE! They're from the UK and they're awesome! So there they are playing, and it's crazy! The guy has like PERFECT PITCH! I felt bad for them tho because they were the opening band and so of course, no one really cared what they had to say... But they ROCKED!
Weezer - Good, but man are they looking old. I wanted to sit down and just chill out. They just stood on stage and played tehir songs pretty much. I mean, they were good, but not THAT good. They pulled a "green day" and pulled a kid up and asked him to play the sweater song (thenthey gave him the guitar afterwards)... BAD IDEA! This kid was a complete douche! He played and pranced around stage, took over the mic and tried to sing every part... it was so ridiculous that the bassist had to signal the board guy to cut the power to his guitar! This guy seriously needed his ass kicked.
Foo Fighters - I dont even knwo what to say. They were AMAZING! I dont care what you all think/say. Dave Grohl could be 96 instead of 36 and they'd still be amazing. No BS from these guys. IT was play songs and maybe have a little talking after like 6 songs straight. There was no pause between songs... it was wonderful. I saw them back in the day with RHCP and i was soo impressed, but to see them again last night, I was floored! I dont even have words to describe these guys!!
