OMG I've missed you, LJ!

Florida was lovely, but I'm so, so glad to be back home. I'm still getting caught up on my flist, but I hope you all had a lovely week and a Happy Easter!

Now for some trip talk and pictures.

First of all, let me say how freakin' proud I am of my cousin. He's a few years younger than I am and I can remember when we were kids how we would tease the crap out of that little floppy haired guy. He's grown up into such a good looking young man and he's doing so well for himself at his job. He works as a chef at River City Grill, which, if any of you ever hit up Punta Gorda, you need to stop in there. Best food I've ever had.

I also got to see my cousin Chris, who's been in Prison for the last year. I really didn't want to go, because who wants to go to prison? I'm really glad I did though. He was so happy to see us, he just cried. And while I didn't quite cry, it was a close thing. He's had a tough life and I'm really just hoping he gets himself together when he gets out next year.

We went down to Siesta Key for a day. It's a gorgeous beach. Baby powder sand that doesn't get hot, clear water.... Jesus, I could have stayed there forever.

After dropping my aunt off at the airport yesterday, we drove over to Daytona Beach which was pretty cool. Not as nice as Siesta Key, but totally worth the trip.  Unfortunately, because we went that way, it took us 24.5 hours to get back home which was... a ridiculously long drive.

We had some issues with personalities clashing a time or two, but all in all, it was a great trip and I'm sorry that it's over.

Here's some pics:

I was so excited, I cut half the damn billboard off. Wanted to stop there so bad.

Speaks for itself.
