If you want me to tell you the truth I'm not a Shika/Kiba fan, but this was the pairing to be in this fanfic. What I want to say is that there are pairings and some characters want to be in a pairing where love isn't involved. This happends in the real life and I wanted to have some of this 'realism' in the fic. As I wanted you to realize this goes for Naruto, who wants Gaara but doesn't love him, and also goes for Shikamaru. I thought that was something that you, the ones reading the fic, would have guessed in the previous chapters and, in this one,have the final clue. I know that sometimes I'm a bit twisted... O_oU But I think these things make the fic more realistic. Of course Shikamaru and Kiba are a couple that works, but not at the 100%.
Lee is confused, of course! He knows that he hadn't done anything wrong but anyway is being 'punished' by his Hokage, but anyway, he is starting to guess things and He's determinated to not lose Gaara's afections.
About Naruto... I still can't answer to that. You won't have to wait too much to know what will happen to him. ^_^
