I intend to make a few resolutions for the coming year, and I've decided that one of them must be to get a firm grip on my general condition of larditude. According to my scales this morning I was 15st 2lbs, much the same as I've been for a few years now, and mere words can't express how much I loathe being a chunky bastard. So I've made a Word chart in which I'll log my weight each day. I'll then calculate the average for each week, and I hope to record a downward trend. With this aim in mind, I've got back into doing the weights over the past few days and I've been stepping up my work-rate each day. No doubt cycling would be more effective, but that would mean I'd have to overcome my intense dislike of miserable Scottish winter weather!
