A time of hope and optimism

Next to paramilitary flute bands, C&W is probably my least-favourite style of music, but this song takes me back to a time when peace and love were going to conquer all and things were going to get better for everyone. It's hard not to be nostalgic for a time of hope and optimism when things are going the way they are just now. I've always thought this is a beautiful song.

Bah! The snedge has reached Edinburgh. I'm not celebrating its arrival!
