I love music, obviously, but I found some of the questions impossible to answer because they weren't relevant to the kind of music I like. I mean, "A song that reminds you of yourself?" What?!!

Actually, now that I think about it, I did manage to come up with an answer for that one!

I remember this one from when I was very wee. I'd only have been four or five when it was in the charts.

Oh! Thats an easy one, a song that reminds me of myself “talk too much” by Coin 😝

Isn’t it funny how we can recognize music / artists when we are itty bitty?

I use to crawl into my parents room and play my dads queen record then try to get it right back where he had it, that and seeing boy george on mtv are my earliest memories regarding music 💛

Yeah, totally. I was aware of music for as long as I can remember. My mother would have the radio on during the day and the songs they played would go round and round in my head. I was fascinated by melody and harmony and the way the notes interacted with one-another even though I didn't understand what I was hearing until I was a lot older.

Queen were one of my favourite bands in the 1970s. I remember hearing Now I'm Here and The Seven Seas of Rhye on the radio when they were in the charts, and loving them. My dad worked in Nigeria for a year and he brought home a cassette of Sheer Heart Attack, which I think was their third album, and it must have got played on the music centre thousands of times. Their music was so original, complex and heavy and there's never been another band that's sounded anything like them. When you look at the generic crap that's popular now, it's hard to believe there was a time when every record Queen released got to the top of the charts.

The thing was I had never heard my parents play anything bout them? I asked my dad last year did the album cover have a freaking unicorn or something lol And all they ever really played was rock like Led Zep etc

I asked him could I have said album and he hmmed so long I purchased it for myself and the cover was nothing special (he later shows up at my door with hos WHOLE kick ass album collection! Some sweet shit like LED Zep, metallica, acdc, Dr hook, boy george AN ORIGINAL HOTEL CALIFORNIA The sad part is they had been stored in a moldy attic and tho they might still play Ive yet to try one..damn cats love the record player, but memories sake they special 💛

But I can’t remember being like OMG Queen until Wyanes World

When I was working at the Oxfam bookshop, I spent a lot of time cleaning records (i.e. vinyl) that had been donated, and repairing the sleeves to make them fit for sale by the shop. They had quite often been in storage and had got damp and were covered in mouldy patches, but I used a bottle of alcohol spray and a record-cleaning pad to clean them. It might not get your records perfectly clean, but it would probably get the worst of the marks off and would make them playable.

Do you still have record/CD/music shops over there? That would be the place to get the alcohol spray. Or Amazon.com.

Oh!! Thats exactly what I needed to learn to do!

Sadly we do not have many music stores but my cousin buys bulk sleeves like 100 at a time on ebay for not much $

Just after I posted my previous comment I typed 'record-cleaning spray' into Google, and sure enough, there are loads of different ones available on Amazon.com. But now that I've come to post this comment, I see...

I'm always looking for new music that I might like, but I'm finding it increasingly difficult. I like proper musicians who can really play their instruments and write proper songs, but even the bands that still do that sound generic and one-dimensional to me. It's like they're all trying to appeal to a particular niche genre instead of creating something that sounds real and original.

But I'm an ancient dinosaur. It's only old gits like me who think music should still be like it was in the 1960s and 1970s!
