The ticket-sales scam
I've just ordered tickets for the forthcoming Face Up! and In Evil Hour/Paranoid Visions gigs from Tickets Scotland. Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that you can no longer buy tickets direct from the venue, but are compelled to pay a surcharge to a ticket agent for the dubious privilege of buying from them? I've had to pay an additional surcharge for my tickets to be delivered by post as Tickets Scotland's office in Edinburgh is staffed by the most ill-mannered, torn-faced woman you could hope to encounter, and they usually don't have the advertised tickets in stock and expect you to go back and collect them when they've had them sent from Glasgow. Their service is beyond a joke!
