Indeed, you can't beat a good "peddle" on your bike. And what or where are the "Easter Links"? Also, the Links Market has never been known as anything other than the Links Market during my lifetime. I saw this absolute nonsense on a tourist information sign on The Prom at Kirkcaldy today. Did they employ a ten-year-old to write it?
Jackie O's has now been reduced to a pile of rubble. Not that I was ever in it myself, but that's another bit of my old town gone. The Prom used to be a busy place with newsagents, the Trocadero cafe and the old bus station, but now it's a bit of a no-man's-land.
And from the British Bullshit Corporation: Israel launches an unprovoked attack on Palestinian territory and kills a senior Palestinian politician and twelve others. The Palestinians kill three Israelis in retaliation. So what's the BBC's headline? "Gaza rocket fire kills Israelis". A typically fine example of the BBC's balanced and impartial reporting, wouldn't you say?
Right, that's me heading for bed with a hot-water bottle, a glass of whisky and Private Eye. I wish I didn't have college in the morning. I'd rather just hibernate for a few weeks or months.
