I can't stop talkin' about meme me....
Four Jobs I've Had:
- busser: my first real job. It was at the family restaurant in Chassell. I washed dishes in the corner of a small, hot, heavy kitchen during the summer. It was long hours and minimum wage. It was where I bonded with girls I had thought hated me and became one of the guys with the cooks. We blared music, threw half-stale buffet food at each other and got dirty every shift. I loved it.
- academic programmer: still the best job I've ever had. My boss demanded the best and got it (for the most part). The staff was close, the residents rocked and I felt fulfilled. I'm still trying to recapture the feelings I had during those two great years.
- waitress: just a summer job. Long hours, a grumpy boss and dingy tips from hicks. I drew inspiration for my writing and learned a lot about grace and patience those three months, though.
- retail girl: my before and after college gig. First I worked at K-Mart where I learned many a grown-up lesson and taught myself a few as well. And now I work in retail again. The pay isn't great and the hours are a constant variable, but I love my co-workers and the fact that I can laugh before, during and after a shift--unlike at my first "real world" job.
Four Movies I Can Watch Over and Over:
- Lilo and Stitch - I'm addicted to the little blue alien and his antics. It's a sure-fire cure for a rough day.
- Moulin Rouge - just gorgeous in every way. One of the only movies that can still make me cry even after three dozen or so showings.
- Spice World - I will not be judged. It makes me giggle. Girl power lives on!
- Rent - Nothing has touched me as much as the play (and then the movie). It says everything I think and feel about friends, love, acceptance and life.
Four TV shows I Love to Watch:
- Friends (reruns count!)
- Sex and the City
- Lost (even though I have no idea what's going on this season after missing a few shows. Ack!)
- Best Week Ever (or anything on VH1 for that matter)
Four Favorite Places I've Been on Vacation:
- London (and I will return someday, hopefully for good)
- Hawaii
- Disney World!! (I could live there. I'm not even joking.)
- New York City
Four Favorite Dishes:
- pasta (either spaghetti or pesto--don't make me choose!)
- taco salad
- turkey with all of the trimmings (Thanksgiving rocks my world)
- chinese food
Four Websites I Visit Daily:
- my email accounts. I am completely obsessive about checking them. I swear I have OCD.

- out of the UP
