Don't let them get you down. I live in the slums as well, and I know how people can be, but... Keep holding your head high. You seem like a decent enough fellow, so I imagine it shouldn't be too hard.
I doubt most of those that look down on us hardly get up before daybreak to start with our chores and our work. Or work throughout the day and into the night, just to make ends meet.
It's real hard to keep out the rats! But we gotta do it all anyway. And people help each other out, even though we're all strugglin. I dunno what rich people do.
How about you and me meet up for a drink or something? (I'm not suspicious in the least, I promise - and that sounds incredibly suspicious oops...) I'd just like to meet more people, as I'm still relatively new in town, that's all... And as you said, we look out for each other. I think I'd be able to offer better moral support if I knew who I was talking to.
...Yeah, you know what? I'd like that, cause most everyone I've met isn't too nice. Makes me miss my hometown-and I only know my local people in the slums, not someone else in there.
