PSA
Just dropping by the world of social media to say...
- I'm not around at the moment, sorry, but I'm at that stage where the lazy bits of being an academic are paid off by the bits where you have to work day and night to meet deadlines. And have had a case of severe anaemia on top of everything else, so right now the only kind of rest I can manage involves either sleeping or lying in bed looking at zombies[1].
- I am made of fail concerning saying happy birthday to people here. Last week and this week I need to say big happy birthdays to jagnikjen, railise, epea_pteroenta and megamole. Sorry for being useless!
- I have every intention of keeping up with my 100 Historical Things posts, but I'll need to pick up pace with that once I start getting to the end of my mountain of work (well, it never ends, but occasionally it looks smaller). I'm planning a quiz for the next one - not on stuff I've posted (!) but on something quite general.
- I have a new obsession - The Walking Dead. Fans, please raise your hands now! I can't join online fandom communities yet, both because I don't have time, and because we're only part way through s2 here in the UK and I don't want spoilers!
[1] On the TV. I don't have zombies in my bedroom. Unless I count as one.
ETA: And I should also mention that that's why I haven't been around here or on Facebook very much at all, so giant apologies if I've missed posts that are important to you and/or that you wanted me to see.
