Some TV news, and some Dr Who

TV news gleaned from the TV Times:

1) A new series of Law and Order UK starts on Monday at 9pm, ITV1. YAY!!!

2) Iain Glen is joining the cast of Downton Abbey, yay! (I tried not to read the Downton spoilers but failed, but I'll say no more than that.)

3) Philip Glenister is filming Treasure Island for Sky!

4) Next week it's Jonty Hearnden and Mark Stacey on Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. (How long does a girl have to wait??) I've been surprised that I've really warmed to Mark Franks this week too (he actually made an effort to speak French in Paris...).

And a quick thought on Dr Who (cut in case I get something right and it's spoilerish).

In The Lodger (5x11), I always meant to say that I was surprised there was no further discussion after the Doctor said something about the spacecraft on the upper 'floor' being like a TARDIS. I'm not imagining that he said that, am I? It's been ages since I watched it, I admit. There seemed to be an implication that there was some Timelord-ish technology going on with it.

Anyway, my niggling instinct that this could be important was reinforced when I thought I noticed the same spacecraft in the trailer for the forthcoming season.

And who was announced as a returning guest star in the new season? James Corden, who was in The Lodger.

So tell me, have there been rumours about this, or is it just me?
