So, what do you think of this computer?
It has these specifications:
Acer X3400 Desktop and 22in Monitor.
CPU and Memory:
AMD Athlon II X4.
Processor speed 2.9GHz.
4GB DDR3 RAM.
Hard drive:
500GB SATA hard drive.
DVD optical drives:
Dual layer.
Graphics:
Dedicated nVIDIA GeForce G315 graphics card with 512MB memory.
Interfaces and connectivity:
Multi-card media card reader.
9 USB ports.
1 HDMI port.
Wired keyboard and mouse.
Operating system & software:
Microsoft Windows 7 Premium.
Monitor:
22in display.
Widescreen.
Resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels.
General features:
Weight 10kg.
And it costs £599.99. Basically, I want it for work (word processing, occasionally making maps, backing up all my important files, etc.), for browsing the internet, and for not-terribly-high-level gaming (Rome Total War and Civ IV type games would make me happy).
(Yes, I know it's Argos. Erm... OK, so they don't have experts, but that's a very good way of avoiding getting patronised :) )
P.S. Do you think I can assume that the DVD drive writes DVDs as well as CDs?
