Spooks meme - days 10-17
I've been too busy to do the Spooks meme, so here's some serious catch-up!
10. Least favourite baddie?
You know the Al Qaeda top guy (third in command or something) in 7x04? Possibly him. I just find something especially repulsive about him - which probably means it's good acting!
11. Favourite male character?
I love Lucas, and he's the reason I came to the show. I also love Zaf, and Adam (despite his tendency to whinge a lot). But the most consistently wonderful characters, for me, are Malcolm and Harry. Don't make me choose!
12. Least favourite male character?
I've only seen one episode with Tom, but I found him very difficult to warm to. But my least favourite of all must be Danny, who spent all of season 3 (I haven't seen 1-2) moaning and being generally pretty useless. (Sorry to any Danny fans out there!)
13. Favourite couple?
Has to be Adam and Ros, doesn't it? They were meant for each other. But I'm also quite fond of the Harry/Ruth story.
14. Favourite quote?
I'm paraphrasing, but...
"Does anyone have any information that they didn't find by typing {name of fundamental religious group} into Google?" - Harry has all the best lines :)
15. Tom, Adam, Lucas: who would win in a fight?
Well this is obvious to me: Lucas. I don't know much about Tom, but he'd certainly lost his mojo at the beginning of s3. Adam would be good, but at some point Lucas would hit him in the face and he would reel away screaming. I love Adam, but he's not the most all-action of heroes. Lucas has an edge of menace about him.
16. Favourite actress?
Hermione Norris. Of course.
17. Least favourite episode?
Several in s3 were awful, of which my particular least favourite has to be the one where Danny was meant to be assassinating someone but had a major emotional crisis over it which became incredibly boring. At one point I thought the victim would grab the needle off him and commit suicide just to hurry things up. IIRC this episode also featured Ruth having a flirtation with some guy who never appeared again.
But TBH the current series isn't thrilling me, and the second episode in particular was pretty poor. I'll have to do some rewatching to see whether I warm to it.
