Month-long TV Meme, day 6
Favorite episode of your favorite t.v show
I'm not going to answer this for Life on Mars (which I chose on day 4 as 'best' but not my single favourite TV show) - instead I'm going to answer it for a favourite TV show, in this case Robin Hood, because there hasn't been any RH yet.
Robin Hood 2x10 Walkabout: This is my favourite episode of the whole of RH in several ways. First, have a synopsis: The Sheriff goes sleepwalking, and, because there's a deal with Prince John that if anything happens to him Nottingham will be burned to the ground, the nasty Sir Jasper turns up to find out why the Sheriff is missing and initiate the burning to the ground bit; Guy and Marian try to organise a defence of the castle from the inside, Allan (a traitor at this point) looks for the Sheriff and liaises with Robin, and Robin and the others search the forest; meanwhile the Sheriff has his own little ploy to find Robin's camp while he's out in the forest.
I love the plot, because it's genuinely exciting, and quite dark. I love the little play-off between Guy and Robin. I love Allan going around looking hot, and worried, and I love the stuff between him and Will. I adore the way Guy is brave and resourceful and scared and angry all the way through. I feel like crying when I watch the stuff between Robin and Much. It's also a great episode whatever mood I'm in (i.e. which character I'm most into at the time), because Guy, Allan, Will and Much all have lovely moments in this one. Perfect.
