Best syntax ever / mixing one's metaphors

I've been rewatching the Pirates films lately, which is, of course, a complete delight. It also reminds me that one of the reason's I love Jack Sparrow so much is that he comes out with lines involving phrases such as the following (from POTC3):

... a woman scorned, like which fury hell hath no.

I'm going to set myself the challenge of working this into a supervision this term[1] :)

[1] I wonder whether it will fit in best with beginner's/intermediate Latin, case syncretism, tense and aspect, or dialects in Homer...

Heard on a weather forecast (relating to how it's warmed up a little since the 'Big Freeze' but that doesn't mean it won't get cold again):
