Some fandom notes...

- Merlin was good last night. Go Morgana! And pleeease can I take Mordred home with me? He's the very image of cuteness.

- I'm feeling a bit bereft because FlashForward is taking a 'mid-season break'. I need it back now please! How's a girl supposed to cope without a weekly existential trip to the philosophy of determinism vs. free will? Oh yes, plus it has a wonderful cast...

- Spooks is ticking along nicely (like a bomb) - complex, action-packed entertainment. Very good. The series finale looks exciting[1].

- The latest instalment of the Dr Who Adventure Calendar is the first part of a specially commissioned short story for Christmas, which you can read here. I haven't read it yet, but expect it to be good, because last year's was excellent.

- Last night, I watched The Mummy (1999) for the first time in aaages, and guess what? It's still as great as ever, and Ardeth Bay remains the perfect man in many respects[2]. But goodness, how much I've changed since I had a cinema marathon going to see it (c.10 times - I forget the exact amount)! It's a bit silly in places, and the way it portrays epigraphists isn't spot-on (!), but what fantastic entertainment. And the bit where they get out of the plane... Watching the sequel tonight, which is an inferior film but has many positive points!

[1] I have the TV Timeses right up to the beginning of January now, so I have plenty of information (more than I want, really!) about forthcoming stuff. Yay!

[2] Dresses head to toe in black, has a wonderful rich accent, has mysterious facial tattoes (which don't work well on everyone!), dedicates his life to protecting the world from evil, and looks fantastic with a machine gun. Oh yes.

You'd be forgiven for thinking I do nothing but watch TV. I don't, but fandom is more interesting than job applications and typing in Greek ;)

P.S. Does anyone happen to know the best place to go for FlashForward screencaps?
