And here's all the other news you need to know...

Tonight, marvellously, sees the arrival of the new (third) series of Robin Hood, which airs at 6.50pm on BBC1. It's promising to be dark and exciting, and if it's anything like the first two series it will be brilliant. I can't wait. Indeed, last night I watched the season 2 finale to prepare myself - in that one, Marian was killed by Guy of Gisborne, so you can see how serious they are about taking the Robin Hood legend in new directions! And quite right too, I say.

Tonight also sees the start of the third series of Primeval, ITV1's family drama about 'anomalies' opening up and resulting in dinosaurs and various other long-extinct creatures invading today's world. Fortunately, so far this has all been happening in England, where the team led by Douglas Henshall's Prof. Nick Cutter (his boss is played brilliantly by Ben Miller) have been battling the creatures for the last three years. It's not terribly well scripted and the CGI is **awful**, but it's reasonably interesting, and it takes evolution seriously most of the time. There have been some memorable episodes, especially the one where thingy's geeky best mate got killed and the death of a fanboy was portrayed with rather moving realism.

And other news:

Here is the press pack for the new series of Ashes to Ashes.

And a big shock: Stephen Fry has been dropped from the Twinings tea adverts!!!

Oh, and today I saw an advert for a forthcoming CBeebies show starring Timmy from Shaun the Sheep!
