I have seen speculation that Rose was not just Rose but was in some sense the spirit of the TARDIS. Possibly because of something to do with her being connected to the time vortex before in the heart of the TARDIS, etc.

I assumed that Rose had been to whisper "Bad Wolf" in Donna's ear before (in Rose's personal timeline) she told Donna that she would have to die.

Oh, actually that makes sense. I think so anyway :) But how does Rose know exactly when Donna will agree to travel back in time (before she does so) if she's taking a linear path through her own (Rose's) timeline?
