Torchwood was a little better this week.
I can't think what Diane saw in Owen, because she was gorgeous and he definitely isn't (and is also very annoying), but it was a nice romance, I suppose. Then again, it seemed completely gratuitous, slightly pointless, and generally unnecessary in the episode. I thought Torchwood was trying to be gritty, so having such a fairytale sort of romance jarred a bit. I liked the guy though, and the way he interacted with Jack, and the scene where he spoke to his son (now very old and with Alzheimers) was pretty sad. And the girl was quite engaging. Gwen is getting on my nerves though. Anyway, in general terms, I thought this was a better episode in that it was better shot than usual and pretty aesthetically pleasing, the story was nothing new but it was engaging enough, and people time travelling is always entertaining. Then again, it was going for ground that DW has already covered very well (i.e. the consequences of time travel), so maybe it was completely superfluous. Oh, I don't know any more. What did other people think?
Doctors was very very sad on Friday. Very sad. Emily (girl of bad acting who was in RH ep 7) went to America with her Mum, leaving her dad, Joe, behind, and the parting scenes made me cry. And Ferdy decided to end his friendship with Michelle because he was holding her back and he didn't want to. And Jimmy managed to melt the heart of the icy PTS woman who was accompanying him on his rounds. All so sweet. Sorry, I doubt anyone wants to read that ;)
