Hmm, yes, OK...
I have a question about the war between Israel and the Lebanon. I'm afraid I've failed miserably to pay attention to anything in the papers about the political side, however much I migh go 'Ooh' when I see the military progress on the news. This is my bad - I have some level of world apathy at the moment.
Anyway, the question is this (and I thought LJ would be a perfect place to air it, because I'll get sensible opinions as well as reliable information):
What is the history of the relationship between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government? Is the government only supporting them now because Israel invaded the country? Or is there a longer history of support? Or what?
