Fiirst things first: Happy Birthday
I hope you have the most pink and sparkly and fabulous day and year imaginable. A little something is winging its way in your direction. Well, two little somethings, actually. And only one is winging; the other is sort of limping haltingly because I was too late in posting it. But you will love it when it arrives, I guarantee. (Email will also be arriving, soon...)
Which brings me to general apologies that my Christmas cards and things all went out late. Yesterday, in fact. Ni, by the time yours arrives it won't be a 12 Days of Christmas card so much as a pre-Lenten card. Sorry.
The people whose addresses I don't have but to whom I wanted to send cards, will get ecards. I meant to ask for your addresses, but didn't get around to it.
Actually my procrastination grew to monstrous proportions this year, swallowing everything in its path at Christmas. So I'm making a new-year resolution to be efficient and organised and effective in 2006. As a statement of intent, my Christmas present to myself this year is 'Seven Habits of Highly Effective People'. It's already arrived. In fact, it's behind me, on the shelf, in its little Amazon carton. I just haven't got around to opening it yet. How long is it till New Year?
Off to the frozen north tomorrow for several days without laptop, which has apparently died. I can feel the clamminess of incipient panic threatening already -- how will I survive without a computer? Assuming we don't get snowed in, I'll be back at the start of next week. Everyone, have a lovely celebration of your choice.
