I'm so, so glad you liked it, shipping (and R/T shipping especially) aside. It restored my faith in JKR.

The R/T thing: well, I wondered if she was perhaps giving Remus someone to care for him because he's had such a shitty time of it. (And I'm getting *so* fed-up reading the words 'patched', 'shabby' and 'tired' in descriptions of his appearance.) At least Tonks was less irritating in this story; but the whole 'romance' had such a feeling about it of something she'd just bolted on at the last minute.

Slughorn was great, wasn't he? Very modern, very network-y.

Fleur's accent grated, but I was glad she shut Molly up. And I'm so glad Harry dumped Ginny; I can see a little Molly-in-the-making in her.

Can you believe I'm inspired to get back to my 7th-year MWPP fic? Which was really about Sirius and, to a lesser extent, Regulus. I'm so sorry now that we won't ever meet Regulus; he sounded like quite a guy.

Love you, sweetie! (And did I say I'm so happy you liked this?) *Mwah!!*

Well, you never know - Oona did bring up the whole Stubby Boardman thing, after all...

Oh, oh, oh! And that is all I'm going to say.

Do you think she did it to shut us all up? It had that feeling of 'he's straight, get over it!' over the whole thing. Bah. I still say he's gay as a daisy, and screw that.

In a way I'd like Stubby Boardman to be Regulus in disguise; but not really. It would kind-of make a mockery of all the pain and sacrifice. And besides, if Dumbledore couldn't do it without dying in the process, I can't see anyone else managing.

Do you think she did it to shut us all up?

No, I suspect she might have done it so Remus wouldn't be alone any more. He is her favourite character, and she's been so mean to him. I also think Tonks will either walk off into the sunset with him at the end, or she'll be used to bring down more tragedy and regret on his head.

Poor Remus! I don't think the Angst-demons are finished with him yet.

That I understand, definitely. As well as the dying part - Voldemort didn't leave too many loopholes there, it seems. I just want to know so much how he did it.

Oy, not more regret for him! At this point, if that's the choice, let him be happy. (Although is it weird that she's giving one of her favorite characters such a bland treatment?) I suspect you're right - and I can understand her desire to give him something good in life. I just wish she'd developed it better, but I'm really starting to believe she simply cannot write romance.

Poor Remus! I don't think the Angst-demons are finished with him yet.

WAH! Don't say that, that's so sad!..

I've already heard about Evil!Tonks theories, particularly related to when Harry stumbles on her in Hogwarts. They connected her picking at her sleeve with the presence of a death mark, but honestly, I wouldn't know.

Ooh! Never thought of that! I was thinking along more boring lines, such as, she could be captured and then used to blackmail him into doing things he didn't want to do (Hello, Fenrir!); but Evil!Tonks is an idea I could get used to.

Or maybe she's also acting under Imperius, to get Remus into a situation where she can betray him. I think it used to be called a honey-trap; with Tonks, it's more of a pink-trap.
