How it gladdens my heart to see this:
Spain legalises gay marriage
And I don't slag people off publicly too often, but the comment from the Spanish Bishops' Conference (allowing gay marriage was like "imposing a virus on society") quite takes my breath away. What, I'm wondering, does using the most vile and hate-ridden language you can think of, have to do with what they're supposed to be preaching? So many of these individuals need to get a fecking grip.
As Zapatero says, it's all about freedom and equality.
(And isn't it nice to see those concepts thriving somewhere in Europe? And from a politician who doesn't twist them to mean that the voters have nasty shit coming their way.)
