Ever since he discovered her identity, he wasn't sure how to deal with the revelation. He'd like to say that somewhere deep inside or in the back of his mind, he knew Selina Kyle was Catwoman and Catwoman was Selina Kyle, but he'd be lying to himself. And Batman didn't have any time for such delusions. That's why he never pretended any relationship he began would ever work.

But now with Catwoman...Selina...things could be different. He'd wanted both women at different times and they turned out to be one and the same. He wasn't sure if it was a good sign or simply another unfortunate turn of events in his life.

At the moment, however, he wasn't giving it much thought. He had Selina in his arms and what he found most surprising was that unlike himself, who was very different as Bruce Wayne and Batman, she was the same with or without the mask. Her eyes shown just as green. Her lips were just as full and red. Her presence drowned his senses in a beautiful, dreamlike fog.

He couldn't stop touching her; his hands functioned without his permission. When he peeled the thin, velvet sleeve exposing her shoulder, he closed his eyes and could almost feel and smell the leather he suddenly wished he were removing.

He placed his lips gently on her bare shoulder and wondered if he'd ever tasted anything so sweet. He kissed along her collarbone, up her neck, stopping at her lips.

Neither Catwoman nor Selina had ever kissed him like this, without regret, holding nothing back, giving herself completely.

He pulled her onto his lap and took his time removing her dress. She sat completely nude before him and he couldn't help but admire her glorious figure, the few scars she had did nothing to diminish it.

He kissed her neck again, moving down slowly, eventually taking her breast in his mouth, caressing it gently with his tongue. He bit and sucked gently causing her to shift on his lap. She wondered how much longer his clothing could keep him restrained.

When she removed his shirt, she ran her fingers over some scars and kissed others softly. If she was surprised by them, she didn't show it. She took off the rest of his clothes hurriedly.

She lay on the bed and pulled him on top of her, wrapping her legs around his hips. She kissed him softly and ran her hands down along his back.

That first thrust caught them off guard; it just felt right. This is where they were meant to be, together and accepting of every part of each other.

She smiled and took him in as far as she could. She called his name, her voice laced with desire...and love. He didn't trust himself to speak and he fought back the burning sensation in his eyes. He buried his face into her shoulder, ashamed.

This, what she offered, wasn't meant for someone like him. Someone so damaged and unworthy. He knew exactly what he wanted from her, what he'd always wanted, but he didn't know if she wanted it, too.

She ran her fingers through his hair, gently reminding him to savor their time together, simply enjoy the moment. Nothing had to be decided at that point in time; the future would always be there. It was then that he allowed himself to smile.

Perhaps with her by his side, despite everything he'd endured, he'd finally begin to heal.
